Newsflash!!! plus another GiveAway!!!

Today I am the designated driver for a friend who is having a colonoscopy...no, that is not the newsflash! lol  But I will be sitting in my work place as a visitor and so decided to do what visitors do...sew.  Yes, there is a lot of knitting, crocheting, reading and quilting going on in our waiting area.  Today I am going to start tacking the binding down on McKenna's Dr. Seuss quilt because she will be here this weekend!

Now for the newsflashes!  Keith, Manager of Hancock Fabrics is having a huge sale this Saturday!!!  Here is the flash...

Thought you might want to know that this Saturday (August 13) is Super Saturday at Hancock Fabrics. The entire stock of sewing (including thread, buttons,  zippers, etc.) and quilting notions will be 50%, as are all the home decor fabrics, the entire stock of fleece, and both packaged and by-the-yard battings.

In addition, if you spend $75 or more, there's a coupon you can pick up on the in-store flyer to save an another $10 off your purchase.

For anyone interested in buying an entire roll of batting, Keith (or anyone else) can special order it for you (if they don't have it in stock) at the sale price and you'll have it within two-three weeks.

There are coupons in the local newspaper and I also understand that this will include all Hancock Fabrics in the Northwet but may include one near you...so go check it out...and no matter where you live tell them Keith from Central Oregon sent you!!!

Newsflash #2  Jeanne your GiveAway is in the mail today!  So keep a look out!  Congratulations!!!

  9. Oh how I wish that we still had a Hancock's near us! They closed all of ours a couple of years ago. Vicki B Quilts pointed me your direction. It looks like you like working with Primitives and wool, which is one of the things I enjoy doing in quilting, so I joined!

Thanks for the contest! I haven't seen a photo of the scooter to get a feel for it's personality, but how about "FQ"? Instead of standing for fat quarter, it could stand for "Flying Quilter"! lol

  23. I've been a follower for a little while - but have been reading and loving your blog much longer. I think a good name for your scooter would be Miss Pinky. I also have a funny story for you. Last week at my quilting group, I asked the gal sitting next to me if she did any wool work. She said no, but her good friend in Bend is a Woolie. I said I read a blog written by a Woolie. She said, Anna? I said, Yes! She said, that's my friend and she was my college roommate! Now how fun is that? I'm fairly new to quilting and already I find myself in the company of terrific people! Thanks for having a great giveaway!
