It was the perfect name for our little band of quilters...Fabric Stalkers is our name and stalking fabric is our game! We have traveled far and wide to hunt for the perfect piece of cotton...many of us have worked together, raised our kids, had death, divorce, marriages, cried, laughed, sought advice, moved, watched our kids grow up, some have retired, had grandchildren, moved and still we come together seeking our history and comfort. Even COVID could not disband or derail this group.
And so, for the first time in over a year we got together...all of us are vaccinated and we met at Lori's home...a serene setting on 20 acres and stitched. I did not want to video or be distracted from this truly gifted moment...only took a few photos and not of everyone because I was in the moment...I was being a Fabric Stalker!
Lori's sewing room is lovely with it's barn wood doors hiding all her stash and a beautiful view. She has been productive in COVID, finished the top to her Gypsy Wife by Jen Kingwell.
She is very inspiring in all her finishes!
Look at that stash!
Another finish which was one of Primitive Gatherings BOMs which I had made some of the blocks and then gifted it to another Fabric Stalker to finish, LOL
There was knitting going on...here is Nancy finishing up a sweater...although I don't have a photo...Cakers was also knitting...because after all, we are multi crafters!
Val has finishes another quilt and this one is for her mom :) although the photo doesn't show it as well it is a beautiful purple! Val has already found us a spot for our 1st Fabric Stalker retreat in September...it has been almost 2 years!!! since we woke up in our jammies and quilted till day and night.
When I feel down and out all I have to do is remember I am a Fabric Stalker and know that we have been through so much together...and still...we keep on stitching!
