As we continue to unpack boxes and reorganize, memories are unearthed. We have not been rushing through living here...our modus operandi has always been to live with an idea or layout and then move it if we don't like it...for us...once we start living in a new place we continue to jive and duck, move and sit until it feels right.
G hung this chalk drawing of me in his music room...I was 17 years old. My parents didn't have the money for senior photos and so a chalk drawing by an artist at the county fair became my graduation memory. I have come full circle in this COVID year with no trips to the hairdresser...the only difference is more wrinkles and saggy skin. But, the heart is still the same :)
Unpacking a box of memories I also found this hand towel made for me by my friend Cakers. She was also my spin instructor. I would get up at 4:00 am and head to the gym for spin class a couple of times a week. Such great memories, great music and fun times...the towels is ragged and stained with the sweat of miles of Tour de France rides...but the memories are forever in my heart.
I had to share with you the collaboration of nature in my backyard...if only we humans could take a hint! The squirrels who can climb up the tree to the dried corn drops some on the ground for the ducks who wait patiently...give and take, share, work together for the benefit of all...I love animals.
I am quite pleased with myself that I met the goal of finishing this month my Prim and Proper cross stitch from the Fat Quarter Shop! This design my Lori Hold was so sweet, a great stitch and introduced me to Aurifloss which I had not used before...I enjoyed everything about this project and can see more of these in my future!
Have a wonderful rest of the week...I encourage you to start something new...refresh the soul, we all need it right now!
