  1. Hi Anna,
I get my 3.25 magnification readers at the Dollar Tree Store. I even found a cute pair with bling on them! Another source is Tuesday Morning (although they cost more than a buck there)

  4. Hi Anna, I went out and checked the sky in North Carolina, it was beautiful. I love your videos. I don't use magnification just a good light and 14 count Aida.

  5. I bought the same small magnifying light. It works great although the clamp seems a little stiff. Hopefully that will change with use. I used to x-stitch years ago, all self taught, but gave it up when my eye sight got worse and I discovered quilting. I've bought a few patterns to stitch. What fun! Now thru your floss tube I'm finding out just how much I don't know about x-stitch! I have also picked up a lot of tips from Kimberly Jolly on the Fat Quarter Floss tube videos. I'm trying not to let the x-stitch world take over my life/sewing room like quilting did, lol! That being said, I would love a chance to win the Search the Skies pattern. Love all your videos. Thanks for the inspiration!

  6. Interesting that you talked about kindness on this day. I found out today is World Kindess Day.I try to be kind every day and today was no exception, but the hugs were even more special. I saw the searching the sky pattern a few videos ago and thought it was so cute.Keep doing what you are doing, Anna. You too have sparked my interest in cross stitching again. Thanks (I think!!)

  10. You will never know just how much joy to bring to me with both of your 'shows'. Living in an isolated area of Massachusetts, in the woods, I very often look to the night sky. From now on I will think of you. Thanks for bringing delight to the heart if a senior lady.

  11. I am an avid sky watcher. I watch as the stars and moon move across the sky, and watch the clouds come and go. I also watch you, a star in the quilting and now cross stitching world. You hooked me and after 25+ years of not X stitching I have joined you in returning to this craft. I agree so much has changed since I did this type of craft. Have a great week and thanks for starting my days out with laughter.

  13. I enjoy reading your blog. Always brightens my day.
Would love the "search the sky" pattern. I mostly do quilting & some wool work, but you are inspiring me to get back into cross stitch.

  15. Hi Anna,

I know this link is not cross stitching, but Marry Corbett over at Needle 'n Thread https://www.needlenthread.com/does the most amazing stitching. Thought you may enjoy and find inspiration.

  16. You are such a sweetheart Anna! And you're right....my mother always said it's a small world! It's amazing when you connect with people in such kind ways! I too am still searching the sky and my 9 grandchildren help me! Hugs to you Anna!

  17. When our first grandchild was born, I knew I couldn't love anyone more than him. On his 2nd birthday, we had a star named for him. He is now 22, graduated from college, and doesn't live close to us anymore. I miss him so much and can't see him as often as I would like, but I can always look up in the sky for the star that was named after him and it reminds me of him.

  20. Now that it has gotten cold here in Iowa with two snows already, one before Halloween, I close my blinds at night to keep the cold out better. I search the skies during the day watching the birds coming to my feeders. They, too, were surprised by the early arrival of winter and there are still leaves on the trees. They seem extra hungry and the feeders empty quickly.
