The Truth....

The truth as I have learned it this past week...

As I navigated through Quilter's Affair week and walked miles viewing all the quilts that were shared at the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show I came to the conclusion that Creativity take Courage.

I have always said that I am not creative but in fact the definition of creative is the ability or power to create. True, I may not be a designer but I am definitely creative.  And so, as I rest up and dream of what my quilting life is going to look like the rest of the year  I am going to embrace my new found courage.  How about you...will you be courageous?

  1. Dear Anna. Thank you for the inspiring blog. No matter at what level ones talent lays,, it is the journey not the end result that pleases the maker. Just enjoy the process and not try to compare with others. Just do the best you can in all things and be content.

  2. I shall have to internalize that thought so I can counter my thoughts when I think (compared to so many others!) that I am not particularly creative. Yes, we who create are creative, but not all of us in the same way. And some will always take it to greater heights than I, which is also fine. I'm enjoying the journey, and occasionally it's even outside of my normal box!

  3. Creativity reveals itself in many different ways that are not always regarded as traditional creativity.
Everyone is creative in their own special way.

  4. I'm slow at building up courage. I still haven't taken the first stitch in any of my prepped wool projects. This morning, I organized everything and now I think I can take that one step..........or maybe I should wait for my first Summer Block of the Week to arrive. You sold me on that one. Thanks, I think. LOL

  5. Hi Anna,
I am one hundred percent with you on that! Creativity does take courage. Courage to keep going and not doubt yourself. If you love it and you're having fun do it, then smile and go for it. Life is to short. Girls just want to have fun!
