A Sanctuary

We have interrupted  our life routine to create a music sanctuary for G.  A place he can call his own just like the Bee Hive is for me.  He does all the editing for our videos and chooses the music either from an online library or he creates it himself.  He is able to play music by ear which is a gift I wish I had when it came to quilting...quilting by ear...LOL...now that doesn't sound quite right.

I on the other hand have a couple of deadlines and need to get some stitching done...it is hard to believe that we are on count down for the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show!

This time of year is a busy one for us...Taxes...gotta pay the man...the weather is changing which means around here it is camping time and then there are those lingering projects that seem to have a voice of there own.

In cleaning out some of my stuff from the room that is now G's Music Sanctuary I came across 3 books that reminded me of my Word for 2018.  And boy did I ever pick the right word.  This is the perfect word for my 'ol monkey brain!  I plan on reading all 3 before the end of April and spend the second half of the year embracing Mindfulness.

As for the stitching life...it has taken a bit of a back seat except for when G and I settle down in the evening to watch You Tube or Netflix.  I am making headway on my cross stitch which if I keep this same pace should be done by the end of the week !!!

I hope this first week in April treats you well and bring joy with these first few days of Spring!

  1. Yay for you Greg! You deserve it! Thank-you for all the editing you have done with the videos that we have enjoyed for quite awhile. I appreciate both of you for making our lives a little more fun. Pam Miller

  2. Sounds like you've both been busy. Enjoy the new space G! Can't wait to see what new adventure you do next.

  3. I have at least 6 books on mindfulness and yet I can't seem to start them. Maybe I need to put 5 of them away and concentrate on just one.
