Stitching Friends...

I got a call from a friend/former co-worker of mine after she saw our videos and wanted to know if she could come over to The Bee Hive for some wool support.  Support?!  Look at these 2 blocks she designed and stitched!!!  I think she is not giving herself enough credit....what do you think?!

Love this coffee cup :)

Since she was coming over I called Robin up and
asked her to bring some Show 'n Tell

I love these little Woolies.  Click on the photo to enlarge.  Robin has changed how she finishes off her mats.  Normally the designer will have you button hole stitch all the way around but Robin didn't like the rough edge look so she started to bind her mats....I like it!

Cute pieced snowflakes :)

This mat is stunning...a Primitive Gathering Design.

It was a fun day of friendship and the best part is that my friend was the nurse who checked in my DIL when she was in labor and so they brought the little guy over to meet his first nurse! LOL

Life is full of blessings
 and
I wish many for you :)

  1. Your friend's stitching is lovely Anna, I think she just may have needed some Anna time?

Love Robin's idea of binding the edges of those oval mats! Her work is beautiful.

I got a good start on a new piece yesterday, just stitching everything down, no embellishments yet!

  3. Sounds like a wonderful day and her stitching is beautiful !!! As for the binding, it is Shop Hop month here in Maine and I was just at Attic Heirlooms in Damariscotta on Wed. When I asked if she always backs with wool, she showed me that she likes to back with flannel and then puts on binding. They do finish off nicely. How nice that you got a visit from your little man too!!!

  4. Oh! I like that idea of Robin's to actually put on binding...a more finished look. Your nurse friend is doing a great job with her wool projects as they are sweet looking. Love that grandbaby!!!
