A City Break....

It's a sweet city break from our small town life.  Yesterday was a gathering of my city book club and the book we discussed was My Name is Lucy Barton.  It was not my favorite book...although once I got about a 4th of the way through I was intrigued by the mother/daughter relationship and finished the reading knowing the discussion would be good...and it was.

The other wonderful break is from cooking, LOL.  There is no shortage of places in Portland to eat when you are a whole foods, plant base person.  G and I have enjoyed the variety.  This was an order of roasted cauliflower, apples and nuts and then roasted brussel sprouts, peanuts with gochujang...Yummm

Enzo has been enjoying his time in the park except for the Squirrels who taunt him knowing he is on a leash!

...and I have been relaxing with my cross stitch...
stitching a little Bee Hive love :)

It is hard to believe we are already heading into April?!
hope you have a sweet weekend! And a Happy Easter!

  1. I'm glad you and G headed off to Portland for an Easter break. What pretty flowering trees you must be enjoying in the lowlands.

Have a great visit in the city.

  4. I haven't read a book in ages, I used to read at night.
Nice to take a break and enjoy a good meal without the work.
I hope you have a wonderful Easter.
