GIVEAWAY & Cracking the Whip!!!

I really really wanted to play around with the Americana border fabric and see if I could make an interesting table runner with my 60 degree ruler...I messed around with it a bit but the more mature side of my brain was yelling STOP...you have work to do and there is only 1 week before Quilter's Affair!!!  I tried on Saturday to stay focused but my son and DIL were working at their new-old house that they just bought and I really wanted to work on their yard.  It has been a rental house for a while and needed some TLC.  I hate painting...I have been painting places since I was a teenager for the family business and I am sooooo over painting.  But, give me a garden and some weeds and I am all about that!  So, HH and I spent the day working in the yard while the kids prepped the inside for painting.  Come Sunday...I had to put the nose to the grind stone and organize my classes for next week. This year I am motivated to be organized because I want to have some play time.  Stacy from Buttermilk Basin is coming out to play and I want to have time to do just that!!!

I have an awesome Give Away for the Woolie readers.  The Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show is sponsoring a 2017 Calendar Giveaway, The Men Behind The Quilts.  All you have to do is leave a comment on this blog post and on Friday we will see who the dog dish coughs up!  If you want a second chance, leave a comment Wednesday on the Anna & G On The Road blog at The Quilt Show with Alex and Ricky.

Saturday after a full day of gardening we met the kids at Los Agaves in downtown Sisters, lol.  Our meal was delicious and filling.  The best part of this time of year is that quilts are popping up everywhere!  Inside the businesses around town you can enjoy a pre-quilt show, show!  And some of them are for sale!!!  This amazing quilt was hanging in Los Agaves and is a Susan Cobb creation...and, it's for sale!!!  If you are interested you can call the Quilt Show Office and they can help you out!

I hope you have a joyous start to the new week!

  11. Wow, I NEED that calendar. My DH is way past the calendar page stage and I think I'm entitled to some eye candy even if I'm past the calendar page stage too.

  12. I hate painting just because I do, lol. I think I would like it if the room was cleared out and I could just paint, but we always have furniture in the way;)
