Give Away +

I admit it...my favorite part of the Oscars was these guys!

The next Give Away is a book that I fell in LOVE with on the cruise.  A passbook for your Valdani thread!!!  I can't believe how this little book has changed how I feel about myself, LOL.  I actually am "thread organized!!!"  And it is small enough to fit in my purse and...since, I know this book will be going everywhere with me so I don't end up with 3 of the same color...I have added my med list to the last page for my doctor appointment, LOL!  This Give Away is sponsored by Lisa Bongean from Primitive Gatherings!  There will be 2 winners!!! Just leave a comment on this post, be a registered follower of the blog and we'll see who the dog dish coughs up on Monday!!!

Here a few pictures of the inside of the booklet!

Tips on stitches!

pages for organizing projects

And some of Lisa's tips!  If you are interested in winning this booklet leave a comment on this blog post!

Last summer British Firefighters visited Sisters to learn from our local Firefighters about organization, infrastructure and tactics in fighting fire.  This year our Firefighters will be heading to England for a similar learning experience.  A quilt will be accompanying our Firefighting contingent.  Janet, a local quilter is organizing the piecers.  As for me...I am piecing the border.  Lots of trimming up, cutting and piecing back together....

It will give the border a flame look...and...
can you believe it...
I am piecing BATIKS!!!

I wanted to share a little slide show of
Janet's quilts and digs...Enjoy!

  4. I have to say I love those flame block, one of our sons is a fireman and that would be so cool around a quilt for him. I am not a batik person either but it really is the coolest for a flame!
