Portlandia...the Land of the Freely Weird

We took a quick weekend trip to the digs in the city...had a chance to visit with our son, have coffee with my cousin and relax a bit.  Relaxing in the city means a little hand stitching, a lot of walking, a movie at the Living Room theater and happy hour at our favorite spots.

The Living Room Theater usually runs movies that make you think and talk.  Foreign films, Independent films and movies that have wonderful acting.  It has a restaurant and bar inside so you can eat, have a cocktail or glass of wine while watching the movie :)

We chose Bridge of Spies.  All I can say is Tom Hanks NEVER fails to bring it home!  He is an amazing actor and the story is part of our history.
Definitely a must see!!!

We did a lot of walking.  The weather varied from spectacular...too a little drizzly and cold.  But, Portlanders never let weather stand in the way of living the good life, LOL  Our youngest son and wife gave us Groupons to a coffee shop near where we live...excellent!  I made a little poster board of some of the photos I took and you can click on the individual photos to enlarge.  I spent some time stitching away at my Je Suis Paris cross stitch and I am almost done!!!  Can't wait to show you :)  Have a great Monday!

  1. Sounds like a nice place to visit, cities have their benefits with art and culture and you can walk to most places.
