The Home of Cottons 'n Woolen & The Day 12 Winner!!!

Well lets get to the WINNER of the Day 12 Give Away...I am so happy I do not have to choose a winner.  Although during the 12 days I can't answer all the emails due to time constraints I do read each and every one.  Thank you for all your kind words.  I so enjoy saving up patterns and books for the 12 Day of Christmas Give Away all year long...I have so many left so I have decided to have one Give Away each month of 2016 :)  The Winner of this years Berties patterns is kdduncan!!!  Send me your mailing address.

This weekend the weather was all over the board but life is in full holiday swing.  My brain has been on full tilt with ideas for the new year and I have always believed there is power in numbers...so, I hope some of you will join me and we can support each other in our stitching lives in 2016.

This weekend I got into bread making mode...
I love my Sheepherder's Bread.
I made this sweet one to take to an holiday soiree

I kept this one because I forgot to butter the pot and lid and so the whole top of my bread stuck to the lid!!! @#$%^  Then I spilled a large glass of ice water in my sewing room...I decided I needed a break.  My aura needed readjusting.

One of the highlights of my holiday season is to visit the home of Cottons 'n Woolen.  Anne is not only an amazing stitcher she is by far the most talented decorator.  Her collections span many decades of  collecting and stitching...and her home is the perfect palate to display them.  The photos do not do it justice but I know you still will find so much inspiration in the slide show.  Most of the quilts and stitchery were done by Anne but several were gifts from other talented friends.  Have fun making your list of "want to make"...I know I did!
