Give Away Day 2

Yesterday was one of those perfect quilting days...it was an Em Quilting Day!  Emily finished a beginning quilt class with one of local quilt instructors (Lawry Thorn) at the Stitchin' Post.  Didn't she do a spectacular job!  And, so we spent the day layering her quilt.  Then she began the quilting.  The afternoon was spent with a pillowcase tutorial...such a fun project!

We had to visit the Stitchin' Post for some binding fabric and Vicki showed us some new threads that had arrived.  They are absolutely beautiful!!  From Africa and wound on card boards you get a wide variety with each box.  The variegated thread is beautiful!!!  You can order them off their website.

It was a nice surprise that there was a class by
love her style of wool work!
You can't help but smile :)

So, I decided today's Give Away will be one of her patterns!!!  You can create this Saltbox in cotton or wool.  If you are interested in this pattern leave a comment on this post and be sure you are a registered follower of the blog.  There is 24 hrs left to leave a comment on the GiveAway for Day One and the winner will be announced tomorrow!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!  Enjoy the video...

  6. and I'm so glad you mentioned Lawry...It's surprising maybe, but I think of her often from waaay back 30 years ago working at the Stitchin' Post, when my kids were little-little and we'd drag them to the quilt show! She's a sweetheart!
