Monday Muses + GiveAway

A message to all who need to feel cared for...I am "someone."

Monday Give Away is from June Jaeger who is a wonderful quilt designer!  If you are interested in these patterns which include full sized patterns please leave a comment on this post that you are interested.  Be sure you are a follower by clicking the button "Join this site."

This quilter needed to cut some time out to just be by myself and quilt.  Love my mug rug made by my friend always makes me smile and I need to drink more water but I like to flavor it with a quarter cup of cranberry, you can see a canister of dog treats for my favorite Quilting Service Dog and I was set!

It was high time to finish some UFO's.  This quilt from the 100 Fabulous Small Quilts is really coming along.  With a great book on CD this quilt really started to sing!

That really great book I was listening to...The Invention of Wings.  I had already read this book last year but my local book group chose it for this months selection.  I loved it so much that I didn't have any problem reading it again!  This truly is a wonderful story based on real people.  The author's note is a fountain of history cliff notes.  If you haven't read this book...please, put it on your list!

Hope your week starts off wonderfully and continues to bring you more love than heartache :)

  1. I spent the weekend working on flannel ragg quilts for a semi-local guild's project--they challenged themselves to make 100 pillowcases and 100 baby quilts this year for donation to their local Kiwanis, who distributes them to the local fire and police. They reached 100 pillowcases by May--now working on the baby quilts! I may be able to send them three more if I get snipping instead of reading! I'm holding out one of the baby quilts for my newest great=grandsons, both born this month!

  2. Loved that book too! Thanks for the idea of the cranberry juice. Never thought of that. duh. Love your little quilt - did you hand quilt it?

  3. I'd love to win!
Love the quilt under the cup, I need to try the flavored water.

  4. These patterns remind me of quilts I saw at Sisters years ago.
