Introducing Violet Craft

The East of the Cascade Quilt Guild is blessed.  When a designer comes to town to teach a class they will sometimes schedule a show 'n tell for the guild!!!   This month we were lucky enough to have Violet Craft stop by and share her journey.  Violet was born to a family of musicians and artists but as with many her path took her off the familiar and into the world of business and finance.  Upon the birth of her first child she re-evaluated her personal map and decided to tap into the genetics she was born with and pursue arts and crafts.  Her successful venture into designing children's clothing ultimately led to the place she inhabits...that of a fabric and pattern designer.  She lives in Portland and is a member of the Portland Modern Quilt Guild and designs for Micheal Miller Fabrics.  If you remember I made a quilt out of her Bridges line and place mats...remember these :)

Enjoy the slide show and check out her website!
