QuiltWorks Gallery Exhibit March 2015

The QuiltWorks Gallery is a gem for the Central Oregon quilters.   Marilyn has provided a rotating exhibit of one featured quilter and one group exhibit.  You would think we know every quilter and have seen every quilt but the fact of the matter we are blessed with sooooo many quilters and several wonderful shops.  There must be dozens and dozens of quilt group gathering in all the nooks and crannies of Central Oregon.  When my sister and I went to check out the exhibit I found these 2 pieces of fabric that are absolutely fabulous!  They have a very Victorian feel...and it's all about bees!!!!  If you have to have this fabric give the shop a call by clicking the link and they'll drop it in the mail!!!

The featured quilter is well known around the quilting community.  Bevalee Runner has been teaching at BJ's Quilt Basket and also has been a BOM cheerleader for BJ's.  But, there are many layers to this quilting onion :)  She is a 6th generation Oregonian and has been quilting for 35 years...but, teaching 33 of those years!  She lived for several years in the United Arab Emirates and was a founding member of the Abu Dhabi and Dubai multinational guilds.  Currently a member of the Mountain Meadows Quilt Guild in Sunriver.  Several of her quilts have been juried into major shows.

The group exhibit was a shout out to local quilters for food and drink related quilts...A fun exhibit that will inspire you to use those fun fabrics in your stash!  Enjoy the slide show and I hope you find some inspiration!
