A Weekend Filled To The Brim...

It was a weekend that was filled to the brim...not only with activities but the weather was soooo dang wonderful!  In Central Oregon we know that January brings the 1st summer, lol...or the January thaw.  But this year we are talking a beautiful thaw...it was outdoor weather for sure.  I will be sharing photos all week of our walk on the Metolius River Trail...so, as to not bore you all at once! LOL

Enzo was beside himself when he heard HH start up the pickup.

I saw this on Pinterest and it totally cracked me up...like any of us would take fabric back, LOL

Friday evening there was an Art Reception by the Journey's Art Group at the Sisters Art Works.  The definition of group is a number of people or things that are located close together or are considered or classed together.  Well...that just doesn't quite fit the Journey's Art Group.  Yes, they are a group of artist but I am not sure you could class them together.  They are all so amazingly individual in the pursuit of their artistic expression.  What I can tell you is that they definitely support each other in their personal artist journeys.  And, when they put on a show you are going to be wowed!

June Jaeger(a Journey member) and Cathy Moen(a Juniperberry)...a couple of cowgirls enjoying the show.

Enjoy the slide show it will totally amaze you.  As I understand it,  in this particular project each member started with a quilt of their own design and each succeeding quilt evolved...taking something from the initial one until they were satisfied with their panel of art quilts.

  1. I would have thought you would be colder and have more snow than we do. Looks like the perfect day to get out for a walk. If I do any walking it will have to be on skis, lol.

  2. Lovely weekend here too (although Eugene had lingering fog our little valley on the westside was clear!). Such creativity amongst quilters these days from traditional to mixed media...always fascinating!
