Reflections

What's the weather like in your neck of the woods...in ours it is all over the board!  We had days of sun and rain, sun and torrential downpour, sun and wind, then...sun and rain.  So, life's choices had to  be flexible.  The Portland Art Museum had a pumpkin carving contest...but, they put up a tent so everyone could stay dry!  Here are a couple of the contenders :)

HH and I hurried out to the Farmer's Market on Saturday because it was not raining.  The colors at the Farmer's Market are so vivid!

And then, there was coffee and lots of it!  We would huddle inside a coffee house till the rain let up and we could walk home.  I love coffee in Portland because the Barristas always make the extra effort to present you with a gift in each cup of coffee.

The trip back over the mountains was filled with all that Fall is about in Central Oregon.  The Fall colors were stunning.  And, the water was rushing filled to the brim.

As we reached the top of the pass...it was snowing :)  Just reminding us that winter is around the corner.

I did get a lot of stitching done this week. But, will wait till tomorrow to share with you.  Today, I head off to spend time with the Material Girls and get the final stitching done on my projects :)

  3. Our leaves are dropping but not many are changing colors. :( I have seen a few but not nearly like last year. Today is our first cold day and we will get a light freeze tonight so all the plants had to be covered, if not brought in. I'm glad for winter to come, though I sure missed the fall we usually have. blessings, marlene
