QuiltWorks May's First Friday Gallery Exhibit

(A reminder to leave a comment on the Give Away post!)

Marilyn and Dave of QuiltWorks continues to "slam one out of the park" when it comes to quilting events in Central Oregon.  Every month a featured quilter and a featured group share their creations at the QuiltWorks Gallery.  It makes one realize how blessed it is to live in Central Oregon.  I think there are more quilters than micro breweries!!!  You'd get this inside joke if you lived here, lol.

One of their secret weapons is Mary Ann!  She is not only a quilter but she continues to cater the First Friday Gallery events with tasty morsels!

This is one of those quilting events that quilters can even get their husbands to attend!

The event is a huge success with quilters getting to meet and greet each other.

The featured quilter for May is Linda Saukkonen who as you will see in the slides loves all kinds of quilting...from the whimsical to the artistic.  The featured quilt group is The Nibble Needlers which has a couple of Material Girls as members.  They too love all kinds of quilting but applique seems to be a favorite.
Enjoy the show!

  3. A wonderful quilt show! How lucky you are to live so close to a monthly quilt show. Catered too!! Lovely! Impossible to pick a favorite!

  4. What a wonderful show. I have to admit, BIll actually likes going with me, he walks around and hits the snack bar a few times, lol.

  5. Fantastic, Anna! I know for sure Mary Ann would entice Mr. Squash to come!

  6. The couple that owns Quilt Works does a FABULOUS job of sharing the talents of the many talented folks in Central Oregon. The monthly changing venue keeps the interest up! Wish someone here in Eugene was into having a monthly "gallery" as I know there is LOTS of talent here...Thanks SO much for sharing Anna...

  7. I just love seeing all of the quilts made by so many awesome quilters - thank you for posting them! What a great tribute each month.
