Shop Hopping to Retreat

Our retreat was about a hour drive for all of us.  Since we were coming from 3 different towns and schedules we all drove ourselves coordinating a meeting point at Material Girl in Remond...from there we headed to The Quilt Shack in Prineville.  The slide show today features both of those shops.

The Fabric Stalker Caravan of 6 cars finally arrived at our destination.  As you can see by the photos below it took a committee to figure out the process of opening the gate and then it was a made dash back to the cars to bring our little "wagon" train through.

Once we were through the gate we got lost ending up at a dead end and the whole caravan had to make a U turn...waving as we passed each other! LOL

This place was fantastic.  Sitting all by itself above the Prineville Reservoir,  it was 5000+ sq. feet of quilting luxury.  Sleeping for 24 (there were 7 of us), 6 bathrooms, 2 kitchens!!! a game room...and a dining table which was so large we could all sit around it with our sewing machines, lol  Everyone agreed that this was our best retreat rental ever!!!

Enjoy the little shop hop and don't forget to leave a comment on the Give Away post. Also, sign up to be a registered follower.  Winner will be posted Friday!

  1. I'm so jealous - of your retreat and of all the shops near you. But I lived there I'd be in debt up to my ears! :) I'd never be able to resist those shops..... blessings, marlene

  10. Can you share your retreat location for those of us nearby (Portland, OR) or is it a secret? My small quilt group plans a yearly retreat and this looks close enough for us! Thanks!

    1. it is not a secret but I didn't find the place so don't have the information. What I can tell you is that the girlfriend who organized it found it on the VRBO site and it is located in the Prineville area :) hope this helps...I was not able to email because of the you comment came across as a no reply.
