Quilt Mania!

I am trying to catch up on quilting news!  Usually I hit a quilt group every week somewhere...but this week was 2 days in a row because I knew I was going to be busy next week and couldn't bare to miss time with my girlfriends.  Rather than spread out what was going on in our neck of the woods I decided to combine both groups into one slide show...Material Girls and Woolies!  Some of us belong to both and some only to one or the other.  But, the quilting community in Central Oregon is really one giant organism with a multitude of DNA strands...providing life to the quilt shops and each other! lol.

Hard to believe "blog-less" Sandy is turning 50!!!  The baby of our group is soon to be a grandmother also!  This provided us an opportunity to celebrate.  Anne brought cupcakes and both she and Sandy provided us with a nice show 'n tell which you will see on Cottons 'n Wool this week.

Material Girls meets at a local church and Woolies meets at QuiltWorks where you are always greeted by Piper, shop dog!

I hope you get inspiration by the creations in the slide show...after all...that is what quilting is all about...learning, creating, generosity and friendship!

Oh, and I got my February UFO done! Just in time!  All it needed was a binding attached and tacked...funny how projects get waylaid.

  1. You are really lucky to have your groups! So much inspiration back and forth! I'm also grateful for the blog community and other online forms and forums for exchanging ideas! Speaking of which, it's probably time to update mine!
