Give Away, Day 5!

I received some news that made me want to run home over the mountain...one of my youngest son's fairy godmothers had a stroke.  When my son was much younger I had to figure out a title for this little band of women who cheered him on through childhood. And so, whenever I talked of them, I called them his fairy godmothers. They have attended plays he performed in, cheered on his successes and sent him congratulations for any minor or major development in his life.  It does take a village to raise a child.  I know the holidays are busy for everyone...but, if you have a moment to send out a healing supportive thought...please send it to one sweet fairy in Oregon.

Although December has been busy I still began a new project.  I couldn't pass up starting a Gail Pan Design!  They are so sweet and this one didn't take a week to create.  It is stitched, pieced and quilted in only a few hours work while watching American Pickers, lol.  Now, I am enjoying it in my kitchen area.

My sister flew up to visit for the weekend and we had to take the lil' guy to the Festival of Trees.  The weather has been freezing and so we could only stay out for short periods of time.

Day 5 Give Away!!!  A snowman break, lol...A quick and easy lap quilt to make for yourself or as a gift!  If you are interested be sure to leave a comment.  Since I am drawing the winners names all at the same time at the end of the Give Away presentation you still have time to comment on any of the previous days!

What is Christmas music without a little Elvis thrown in...boy, did he ever have a wonderful voice.

  1. I love how you call them their fairy godmothers, that is such a sweet sentiment for friends who are there for us. I will certainly have her in my prayers, not a fun thing to have to go through especially during the holidays.

I have already sent up prayers that she may have a full and complete recovery so that she has more time for her "young man". You have hit another home run with your choice for giveaway. I love Jennifer Bosworth's designs. Thank you and prayers will continue for all the Fairy Godmother's.
