Woolie Heaven

Yesterday was the Woolie Gathering at QuiltWorks which without a doubt is a highlight on my calendar.  It was also a double dip, chocolate oozing all over...sweetness kinda day because the September Gallery Show was wonderful!  That slideshow will be here tomorrow...so be sure to check back.

Marilyn was just bubbling over with enthusiasm to show us her latest "show 'n tell!"  She made a sprig of mistletoe from wool and antique buttons...now, she is just waiting for the season to arrive where it would be more appropriate to walk around carrying it over her head! LOL

I could just kick myself  because Anne had a "throw down" project...you ask, what is a "throw down" project?  It's where she sends you an email and asks...if you want to participate in making a certain project and complete it by a certain date.  Unfortunately for me...I didn't read the whole email and so missed out on this latest "throw down."  Both she and Sandy finished the top for this Red Button Quilt Co. Pattern. Adorable huh?!

Love these little mats!

Sorry I caught Mary sleeping during the show 'n tell but by the number of projects she brought to share I think she must not be getting any sleep.  Getting ready for snow time!

she picked the wool for this project she found in a magazine.  love the border fabric she chose.

This embroidered quilt is definitely a labor of love.  She didn't care for the original center so redesigned it to her liking.

Thought you would enjoy seeing the latest pattern that Mary Ann is making samples of...you can contact QuiltWorks and get started on that tropical Christmas Tree!

There was a lot more stitching going on but the rest of us were working on projects that are WIPs, works in progress.  The time together is so enjoyable with conversation, laughter and encouragement...what better way to spend a Tuesday afternoon!
