What A Weekend!

What can I say...this weekend was the kind that fills the soul on sooooo many levels.  But, first I am going to start off with the Give Away sponsored by BJ's Quilt Basket!  An adorable panel!  I am not usually a panel kind of gal but with Christmas (yes I said the "C" word) less than 5 months away what a great way to get started on the homemade gift ideas...and this one is really cute!  Just leave a comment on this post that you are interested and I would be so blessed to also have you also as a registered follower.

This weekend was a storming weekend in Central Oregon!  the spotter planes were out in droves, the bucket helicopters and borate bombers.  At one point we had a gust of wind that literally blew our big BBQ right off the patio!!!

These guys are amazing

But I did get a UFO quilted and bound!  Which is really my July UFO...so, now I have to find which one of my UFO's I want to complete for August.

The group display at QuiltWorks was by the Cover to Cover Book Club Quilters based on the book, Prayers For Sale.  Now my book pile around here is at least a mile high but after reading the synopsis I am adding this one to my list!  You can read all about it by clicking the link.

I have some wonderful slide shows for you this week because the MT Bachelor Quilt Guild had their wonderful show in Pioneer Park but first The Cover to Cover Book Club Quilters!

  1. It is shame that a storm can do so much damage if a fire starts. So far we have had good weather and some wind, but no major hurricanes so far. Not entering, I have enough to do, lol.

  7. Anna, you are so lucky to have a great shop like Quiltworks in your area. The studio space is lovely and what a great treat to have a new show every month.

I wish we had such a shop in our neighbourhood.

Thanks for sharing these great events with us.

  8. Great slide show! And yay for another FO!! I'm going to sew on some binding today (as well as more mundane stuff like hemming pants) since I'm sewing with girlfriends today. Going to make me sad to pack up all my WIPs for moving and selling my house--but needs must, as the saying goes! Just hope my body holds out...
