The Winner Is....

First, the winner (as coughed up my the dog dish) of the cute Witches Hat Pincushion donated by QuiltWorks in Bend, Oregon...is....Jacqueline! who left a comment on July 1st at 11:02   please email me your mailing address and I will drop it in the mail on Monday!...and you have to make one for each of us Woolies!!! LOL

My sweet DIL Emily was in China last month testing hearing in some of the rural villages outside of Beijing.  She sent me this wonderful tapestry holder....I love it!

The colors are so wonderful and the mandala type design is intriguing.

Given that it was the 4th of July I had to bring out some of my older quilts to celebrate the season.  I just love these houses.  Do you decorate for the 4th?  I leave my stuff up for the entire month!

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays for so many historic reasons...but, surprisingly Sisters doesn't have a parade...so you have to go to Bend or Redmond for that fix.  This year we decided to celebrate in an entirely different way and we went for a hike!  No quilts in this slideshow...just beautiful scenery.  Hope your 4th was perfect and you feel independent all month long!  See ya back here on Monday...Quilt Show Week!  And for those of you here in Central Oregon, this weekend...the Fiber Stroll in Sisters!
