Smug

I am not feeling so bad...in fact I am feeling kinda smug!  After seeing this photo on Pinterest of someone's stash I kinda feel...OK!  We have been packing, packing, packing...and although I am not finished packing my sewing room I have packed china, crystal, glasses and cups.

We took our couch to Quiet River and now our living room is box central!  the boxes on the right side of the photo are from my sewing room...I still have a lot to pack but the fabric, books and patterns are all packed.  Not so bad compared to the stash above!  How many boxes do you think it would take pack your sewing room??

  1. If you need boxes we have good sizes every day for books, not to big so they don't get to heavy.
Keep up the good work, your doing great.

  3. After reading your blog post and myself having just moved I was going to make a suggestion but see that Carrie already did. She is absolutely right....alot of SMALLER boxes when it comes to the sewing room because those get really heavy!

  5. When we did our remodel, most of my stash got packed up and moved into boxcars in the driveway. There's a pic of some of it after we unloaded: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mariewatterlond/2573547831/in/set-72157603983602705/ No, that isn't all of it!

  6. That is quite the stash, but a nice way to store it and be able to see everything. Not long now, almost there.

  7. When I moved my sewing room into the family room I ran out of boxes and places to put everything and I am still in a quandary! There are still shelves to paint and put up. I hope that one day this room will be DONE!!! Good luck in your move, sure sounds exciting and my stash looks really tiny compared to that photo!!! hahahahaha-thanks for sharing :^)

  8. When we moved I thinned my stash out. So I had a lot less to pack than what I began with. But I didn't count. All I can say was my husband wasn't happy to move all those boxes. And I hated haveing to pack and unpack it all over again. Fun times....lol...not

  9. I would say the fabric part of the "sewing room" would be 275-300 boxes. Now sewing room includes: boxes in storage, fabric in sewing room, fabric in extra sewing room and closet, fabric in dead space in extra bath and fabric just "around" the other rooms.
