Hooked Again

So today I am heading to Fabric Depot because I need some fabric for a new project that I have GOT to make!

I am in love with this quilt by Candace of Squash House Quilts  I don't have to make it...I NEED to make it!  My plan is to use some fabric out of my stash but to pick up a few pieces at Fabric Depot!

Just so you know I am still moving forward with my other projects and have been doing some hand applique on a UFO and also working on the embroidery for the Kathy Schmitz monthly little quilts.  Look at how far I have gotten on my rabbit!

Are you as happy as I am that we are quilters!!!

  3. Too funny, Anna! I had Mr. Squash in Fabric Depot with me pushing the cart - we almost had to go get another cart! Hope you find just the right background for Old Glory! I adore your bunny!
    Cheers!

  6. I feel sew sorry for those that don't quilt or do any needlework. They are missing out on the best fun of their lives and the greatest people that come with that fun!

  7. I want to work on something just because I want to and it will be fun.
I wanted to get some of Kathy's patterns, but our folk store didn't have any.

  8. We're quilters but we're also fiber artist, thread, wool, yarn, cotton---give it to us and we'll create something with it.

  11. I sent to a yard sale Saturday ..The people asked was I looking for anything in particualr I said sewing, quilting crafting items. The lady whom was much older than I late 5o's early sixties Looked at me like I had grown a 2nd head or soemthing. She says goodness no wan't find that here. I certaninly have never done any of that...well I noticed she had no books or magazines of any type for sale either.. We kindly left after pretendign to brouse for another 10 seconds. I asked hubbby what the heck did she do to pass her time since she obiously had no hobbys. I had also leared she barely cooked as well wither as others their were after pots pans and cook books. As a stay home housewife what do people do if they do not read, do not cook and do not quilt sew or craft of any type. Hubby says well i guess she is just lazy and watches tv & sleeps all day....lol....I said gosh how could u waste time just sleeping and watching tv. Then I thought wait a minute Didn't everyone of my Moms geenration learn to sew. But I guess not . Guess I was just spoiled growing up around so many people that crafted sewed quilted cooked canned gardened and baked 24 hours a day or so it seemed...I thought poor lady she has missed out on a life time of pleasure.
