Day 6 ~ Christmas Give Away & Cotton 'n Wool Time!

You are going to love today's post because it includes a slide show from the home of  Mr. Cotton 'n Wool and Anne.  But first, day 5 Winner!!!  Kathy MacKie who said, "Count me in for another great giveaway.  I'm a follower.  Love the mouse and you won't have to hide the cheese!"  Email me your mailing address and you will be stitching away by next week!

Day 6 Give Away is one of my favorites...of course,  a Wooden Spool Design by Debbie Busby.  I do love her patterns and I know you will love this one.  I actually used this design in the center of a friend quilt and it was beautiful...remember the Flippin' Bird Challenge by the Fabric Stalkers?  Leave me a comment if you are interested and be a registered follower, best wishes!

Yesterday was one of my most anticipated holiday events because it really fills me with the holiday spirit.  There has been so much around the world that threatens to dampen that spirit and I really needed a nice shot of bestie time! Anne has a few girlfriends over for a little potluck and conversation.  This year I volunteered for dessert...but was totally distracted by this recipe on Pinterest!  I don't think I have had a hot dog or sausage in any form in maybe 20 years.  But this appetizer was a hoot and so off to the store I went for the ingredients.  The butcher had to show me where these little sausages were located.

Look at how cute it turned out!  We were so stuffed that I was forgiven by "some" for forgetting the dessert!  The recipe is on my Pinterest Board.

The thing about Anne is, she is a kindred spirit in that we both love Christmas.  The difference is, she can really pull off the decor like no one I know.  To walk into her house is to be filled by all the cheeriness and goodwill of the holidays.  You cannot help but be happy.  I really think a magazine should come do a photo shoot of her home.  She is as warm hearted and generous as her home depicts!

Instead of a Christmas Carole this morning you get this wonderful slide show of Anne's home decor.  Let me warn you ahead of time, you need a cup of cocoa or coffee.  Also you can stop the slide show to take a more detailed look of a slide.  Enjoy!
