Talkin' Tuesday & Give Away Reminder

First of all, thank you to everyone who has left a comment and b-day wishes on the Give Away post! you are all awesome and are the reason I so enjoy writing this blog.  I love quilters, they are the best people in the world!

If you are just checking in and don't have a clue what I am talking about be sure and check out the Give Away all you have to do is be a registered follower and leave a comment on the Give Away post!

So our little grandson has to wear a patch on one eye 2 hours a day and be fitted for glasses to try and correct a lazy eye problem.  They don't make glasses that fit an 8 month old, lol.  They are going to special order him a set.  He looks so cute (and smart)...Grandpa G (which is HH's grandpa name) says he looks like the character from Sherman & Peabody...which takes you way back!  He is the sweetest little guy.

Yesterday we went out to the construction site to meet the builder, go over the project thus far and talk electrical outlets.  I am bearing donuts in this photo for the crew since they are working on my dream home.  One of the company owners came out for the walk through and was blown away by the view...yup, we love our designer for maximizing that view. HH and I may be fighting over who gets to do the dishes! lol

I realized that this Friday is First Friday at QuiltWorks and because I was out of town I didn't post the slide show for Septembers First Friday!  The entire show is amazing!  The first half is Quilting Meet Couture where 12 quilt artist took a variety of fabrics (not just cotton) and created a piece of art which was then quilted by Betty Anne Guadalupe.  They are extraordinary.  The second half was created by the Undercover Quilter's who combine the love of reading and quilting.  The book they read for this group show was, "Love to Water My Soul" by Jane Kirkpatrick.  Hope you enjoy the show.

  1. Number 1 rule of electrical outlets - more than you think you will need, especially in the kitchen. How exciting to see your house growing by leaps and bounds!

  2. I love seeing your home come together. We put an extra circuit to my sewing room so I wouldn't overload anything with using my iron(s) and more than one sewing machine at the same time if I have friends over :-)

  3. I bet you can't wait till the outside is done and they start the inside. Fantastic quilt show, beautiful art pieces and loved the nature pieces.
