Material Girls, Give Away Check In & Slide Show

I admit I have been busy the last couple of seasons but when I showed up to Material Girls...something had happened!  Seems everyone is starting to show up and their have been some additions.  In fact today Pat, from Maui joined the group and brought cookies.  I can already see that it might be a challenge for our designated Queen and Princess of the group!  How is one ever to the center of attention with a group this large and rowdy?

It felt so great to take this step into normalcy...to bring a hand project to work on, catch up with everyone and see what quilts have been made.

Thought I would pass on this product I had never seen before!  Seems Anne of Cottons 'n Wool was given these little cuties.  I liked everything about them, the container they came in...the fact that they were red...a little stick on thimble for hand applique.  I may need some of these once I start working on my hand applique projects.

Don't forget to sign up for the Give Away by clicking on this link, making sure you are a registered follower and leave a comment on the Give Away post that you are interested!  Count down to announced winners on Oct. 8th.

And now...the final slide show of the amazing trip to France and Germany 2012!

  1. What fun to go to your meeting and see some new faces! Taking a hand project and getting to see all the Show 'n Tell's is so relaxing, isn't it??

Thanks for showing us the "Poke-A-Dots" too! I will have to look for them myself because, despite having some really great thimbles, my "go to" for finger protection has always been those thick leather dots with the sticky stuff on the back.

    Love the slide shows...especially today's...

  2. I have heard of those thimbles, need to try them, anything to save my poor fingers. Enjoyed seeing the rest of you photos, great inspiration for art pieces.

  3. I saw those Poke a Dots at a local quilt shop, but didn't get them. I've been thinking about going back ever since.
