Last Day of the Give Away & Happy Birthday

I started celebrating my birthday on Friday with a trip to Sisters with Anne of Cottons 'n Wool.  We  checked out the construction site, had a pumpkin latte at the Sisters Coffee Company and I was treated to a wonderful lunch and conversation at Season's my favorite deli!  Ahhhh, remember what I wrote about yesterday concerning making time for girlfriends!  She gave me this wonderful canister and I have trial run several different thing for it too hold.  You can't tell from the photo but it is bigger than a pint and less than a quart...what would you put in it???

It is that time of year, sunny during the day and freezing at night.  Every season is fun but Fall brings such a wealth of visual candy!

I have had several people ask me for new construction photos and so here it is hot off the presses!  The framing is done!

Even the fireplace is framed in!!!!!

...and this panoramic view of the front was taken by Anne's Iphone 5!  cool huh!

Today being the official B-day I am being pampered with a day of entertainment by HH.  We are going to take in a movie sometime in the afternoon and he will be BBQing dinner for Robin and I.

DON'T FORGET!!!
today is the last day to leave me a comment on the Give Away post.  Be a registered follower and leave me a comment on that post.  Come the morning of Oct. 8th the dog dish will cough up a couple of winners!

...and now a slide show of BJ's First Saturday block of the month.  Filled with slides of show 'n tell and new products that you can contact them for!

  4. Happy Birthday! Love all of your slide shows. Since Bend is too far to take a class can you tell me what the pattern name/author is of the quilt in picture #9? BTW--your house is looking fabulous, how exicting to be able to decorate a new house.

  5. I received a similar jar from my daughter who collects Depression Glass...she found a beautiful pink cookie jar without the lid, but thought it would be nice to hold all my balls of pearl cotton...and she's right! Enjoy!

  6. Happy birthday! The house is looking wonderful. What a great adventure!! I love your little jar, too. I have similar ones that hold small balls of yarn, spools of thread (you know, those old wooden ones that are colorful and charming and totally useless for sewing with!) and small toys or balls. My husband collected Depression glass--now I have 3500 pieces of the stuff.
