Quilting Explosion + The Give Away

Yesterday was a scooter day!  After an Enzo walk I hopped on Patty and headed to the gym.  I really wish Enzo could fit in my basket...but his butts too big.  Maybe he needs to go to the gym also! lol  I started back with my water aerobics class this week and lucked out because one of the participants invited everyone over to her house after class.  It is fun to talk with people who you don't have a clue about.  You know what...there are a lot of fascinating people out there!

From there I zipped across town to Robin's house.  I recommend scooter riding to everyone!  I can tell you that no matter what life offers up, how depressed, pained or pissed off you are...once you get on a scooter, you can't help smiling!  I brought my camera because Robin is always up to something fun.

Isn't this little pillow designed by her just the sweetest!

Remember that Robin and I traded our Flippin Bird projects...she put a piano key border on the quilt.  This quilt turned out incredible....because, let me tell you...originally this quilt was one I started in a class with Kaffe Fassett that was supposed to be all diamonds and I chose all strip prints!  I believe if he saw this quilt...he would like how it evolved at the hands of the Fabric Stalkers.

She really pushed herself to get this one done for her DIL.  Yes...Jamie wanted the pinup girls, after all she is a girl with a sense of humor!  It turned out so big I couldn't get the whole thing in the shot.  My favorite part is the pinwheels that sneak into the inner border!

The Quilting world is exploding in Central Oregon this weekend...if, you are a quilter...and you live here or are visiting here...you will not be bored.  The Deschutes County Fair starts, and guess what...there are quilts!!!!  First Friday at QuiltWorks is this evening featuring the quilts of Joan Metzger along with the quilts of the Central Oregon and Portland Modern Quilt Guild. And, tomorrow is the Sunriver Quilt Show!!!!  Hope your are able to attend, if not I'll have some slide shows! lol
