Give Away & Meet Linda & Keith

First things first.  Enzo's birthday is on Monday and we have decided to have a Give Away in celebration!  Between now and Monday at midnight if you leave a comment....any 'ol comment and are a registered follower of the  blog we shall throw your name in the dog dish!  On Tuesday morning 2 winners will be announced.  One for the quilting pattern book and the other for this cute animal panel...the critters are soooo cute!

Who the heck are Linda and Keith...well, they are one of the most fascinating couples in Bend, Oregon! That's who!  Central Oregon is an interesting place with lots of interesting people, some of who the vast majority of us do not even know about.  This place is filled with writers, artists, scholars and famous actors (one of which got a DUII the other night driving home from a night on the town)  Which is a total crack up because by 9:00PM the street lights downtown just blink...we are kinda off the grid in a weird kinda way...and yet we attract interesting people.

Linda in a previous life was a sewing editor and Keith a graphic designer.  Both worked for the same magazine corporation.  Linda has done editing for several magazines including Vogue.  Now independently self employed she writes an article for the home section of the Bulletin (Tues. edition), edits quilt projects for Timeless Treasures project sheets, writes for the quilting/sewing trade magazine and is working on a book about Decorative Stitching which will be released in July 2012.

Keith besides being a graphic designer has managed one of the box home construction/garden stores, Petco and is now the manager of Hancock Fabrics!  He says he is one of the few husbands who's call from the wife to pick something up on the way home includes thread, fabric and notions! lol  He truly is a well rounded individual!  Not only does he quilt...he sews, remodels, creates stained glass, builds furniture, knits and cooks.

They truly are a couple who are comfortable with each other and the life they have created!  Living in Bend with 3 canine children they have created a home that is totally about their lifestyle.

Keith will have 3 quilts in the Sister's Outdoor Quilt Show including one in the Manland exhibit which feature men who quilt!

Enjoy the slide show and don't forget to leave a comment  for the Give Away!
